I’m mostly a diagnosis and treatments, at least it feels that way. Diagnosis: treatment-refractory severe major depressive disorder, chronic. Current treatments: deep brain stimulation, almost insanely high levels of old school contraindicated meds.

I suffer from a painful obsession with the state-sponsored terrorism, also known as torture, undertaken in my name by at least the Bush administration. The shame is nearly unbearable.

I used to be a reader, a writer, a friend, an observer, an occasional critic, and good for a laugh every once in a while. I’m a “withdrawn” PhD student, and I can’t imagine starting over. At most anything.
